Rosie Clark
Residential Safety Coordinator

 

Rosie Rivera Clark is the newest member of Fire Safety Programs.  Rosie joined the staff in March of 2008 as the Residential Fire Safety Coordinator.  This is a new position responsible for creating and implementing fire safety programs for more than 7,500 students that live on campus.  She works in collaboration with Environmental Health & Safety and the Office of Housing & Residence Life to develop and manage fire safety practices, evacuation plans, educational campaigns and events, emergency preparedeness plans, and safety and security training. 

Rosie spent two years working for Prince William County Fire & Rescue as a civilian dedicated to fire and life safety education.  She has been with George Mason University for 10 years serving various roles - undergraduate student (BA, Communication 2000), staff (Admissions, Testing Center, Communication Department, Broadside), and a graduate student (Candidate MA, Health & Risk Communication 2008.  Rosie has also been an Adjunct Professor for the Communication Department for 5 years, teaching basic courses at the Prince William Campus.
