Guides > Emergency Preparedness
The following guides provide instructions and information on how to respond to potential emergency or dangerous situations that may occur at George Mason University or within the National Capitol Region. Each guide is designed to address a specific component of emergency management and should be used in conjunction with other emergency preparedness guides to provide a unit/department specific emergency response plan.
The Unit Safety Liaison Guide is the cornerstone of this modular emergency response plan. Please complete this guide first and review additional guides with your staff as convenient or necessary. Completed guides should be kept on file in a Safety Manual (provided by EHS) in an accessible and conspicuous location. To request a Safety Manual binder and assistance completing Emergency Preparedness Guides, please contact EHS at (703) 993-8448 or send a request to firstname.lastname@example.org. For additional guidance on how Emergency Preparedness Guides are to be developed and used, please reference theCreating and Using Emergency Preparedness Guides document.
