David Farris earned a Bachelor's degree in biology with a minor in chemistry from Texas A&M University. Following graduation, he was accepted into the Clean Harbors Environmental Services, Inc. Accelerated Management Program and began work as field chemist. In his four years with Clean Harbors, David advanced to lead field chemist specializing in hazardous materials management and disposal, and became the regional manager for the Mid-Atlantic field chemist division in Baltimore, Maryland. David also served as a technical service specialist, sales representative, field service specialist, and project manager in the areas of business development, environmental compliance, environmental remediation, and industrial services.
David is an American Chemical Society certified Chemical Hygiene Officer as well as a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager. He is a member of the National Association of Environmental Professionals and is the current Vice President of the National Capital Chapter of the Academy of Certified Hazardous Materials Managers. He joined Mason as the Chemical Hygiene Officer in August, 2004 and graduated with a Master's degree in Business Administration from Mason’s School of Management in May 2007. |
