Exposure Control Plan covers George Mason University personnel whose job duties include risk of reasonably anticipated occupational exposure to human blood and/or Other Potentially Infectious Materials (OPIM) and complies with 29 CFR 1910.1030 Bloodborne Pathogens. Elements of this Exposure Control Plan include universal precautions, exposure determination work practice controls, personal protective equipment (PPE), housekeeping, HIV research facilities, hepatitis B vaccination and post-exposure evaluation and follow-up, communication of hazards, recordkeeping, and program evaluation.
