Mark Gray came to George Mason University in September 2003 as a member of Facilities Management and has served as a Fire Systems Inspector with EHS-Fire Safety since July 2009. Mark is responsible for the securing and inspection of all exterior post indicator valves and all sprinkler system control valves, including the testing and maintenance of all sprinkler system back flow preventers on all campuses as well as George Masons’ regional locations. Mark also assists with fire extinguisher inventory, fire pump, standpipe and commercial hood testing as well as sprinkler system and fire alarm inspections.
Mark has been trained in Adult CPR/AED, Standard First Aid, Hazard Communications, Bloodborne Pathogens, Confined Space Entry, and Laboratory Safety Awareness. In the future he plans on maintaining his NICET Level I & II, and his Back Flow Preventer certifications in fire protection systems. When not at George Mason, Mark enjoys spending time with his wife and children and enjoying outdoor activities.
