Randy Beahm came to George Mason University in December of 2003 as a member of the Facilities Plumbing Shop and transferred to the Preventative Maintenance Shop in April 2004. Randy joined EHS as a Fire Systems Inspector in March 2009. His responsibilities include the inspection and maintenance of 3000 fire extinguishers, testing and maintenance of 36 fire pumps and assisting with inspections of all fire suppression systems and fire alarm systems on all George Mason University campuses.
Randy is NICET Level II certified in Fire Protection Engineering Technology Inspection and Testing of Water-Based Fire Suppression Systems and has his Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester/Mechanic certification. He has also been trained in CPR, First Aid, Confined Space Entry, Laboratory Safety Awareness, Hazard Communications and Bloodborne Pathogens.
