EHS promotes safe work practices and provides occupational safety services to university employees in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration requirements and industry standards.
EHS-Occupational Safety staff are available to consult on any occupational safety issue. Regular training classes are provided to make sure all stakeholders have the latest information relevant to performing their jobs in a safe manner.
EHS-Occupational Safety is responsible for administering the following programs and services:
- Accidents and Incidents
- Aerial Lifts and Aerial Work Platforms
- Art Safety
- Confined Space
- Fall Protection
- Job Safety Analysis
- Powered Industrial Trucks (e.g., Forklifts)
- Routine Workplace Inspections
