EHS is dedicated to delivering programs and services that will reduce the risk of fire at George Mason University. These programs and services include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Regular inspection and testing of all building fire protection systems
- Routine fire drills
- Development of building evacuation plans
- Installation, inspection, testing, and training on the use of portable fire extinguishers
- Fire cause investigation
In addition to these services, EHS also provides special events assistance to include the permitting of pyrotechnics (fireworks).
